It is mounted on a vintage plank that has come from a Victorian home on Wansey Street. The tool shed is coming along and we now also have a sophisticated ‘three bin’ compost heap system. Lyla’s cooking was an experiment with baked chocolate banana’s, and it worked rather well.

Sowing Sunday
Without access to the park yet we located in the Elephant and Castle Urban Forest (a.k.a. The Heygate Estate) hosted by Better Elephant. We filled up old recycling containers with soil and fresh peat free compost, planted them up with sweet peas, rocket, monarda, sunflowers, kale and more, and daubed the side of each with purple paint marking them so we won’t muddle them up. In due course they’ll be moved to the Mobile Gardeners’ Park. Look out for news of more Sowing Sundays to be announced at Facebook.com/mobilegardeners or via the mailing list. For more photos of the event visit the album here.
