In 2014 we created and curated a Mobile Meadow. In spring over fifty people came together at sowing events around the Elephant and Castle, at our Mobile Gardeners’ Par in Wansey Streetk, at Siobhan Davies Dance and at Charlotte Sharman Primary School (as well as at a few other impromptu moments) to help plant up containers with wild flower seeds. These pots were scattered between locations, nurtured into bloom for their participation in a choreographed walk by movement artist Simon Whitehead on June 29 during which Richard Reynolds led participants on a guerrilla gardening action at the centre of the Elephant and Castle roundabout. The walk around the Elephant and Castle ended with poppy seed cake and tea at the park. See more in the Mobile Meadow Facebook photo album here.
